We thought we should write a quick post on who we are and what we do. Boylo’s started up in Spring 2009 by keen windsurfer/kitesurfer Ellie Boyle. Starting from a warehouse in Colyton, Devon, Boylo’s first aim was to get a website up and running. This was no easy task and the website soaked time like nothing else. A whole 18 months later, and a lot of screen staring, the website started taking shape and turning over orders.

Summer 2010 and Boylo’s got wind of a redevelopment project on the seafront, Lyme Regis. After a few meetings with the local council Ellie and her team had a good understanding of the project and decided that the Eastern retail shop would make a perfect store for Boylo’s next step. The opportunity was to make Boylo’s Watersports shop the Lyme Regis Surf shop and Lyme Regis watersport shop. It was an opportunity not to miss and so moved were taken to submit a plan to the council on the intended use.

Boylo’s has now been on the seafront of Lyme Regis for a year and a half and all is going well considering the econimic hardships. The guys have opened a new windsurfing RYA school in the bay as well as BSUPA Stand Up Paddle school.
